I cook my bacon in a cast iron skillet inherited from my mother, just until it is stiff enough that it does not bend very much when I pick it up by one end. Then, I let it drain on a rack and cook up some hash browns in the bacon grease and then a couple of eggs over easy. And finally, I simply wipe the skillet dry of the grease with bread and stick the bread under the broiler to toast it, first on one side and then the other... yummy...
