Is beagle equally energetic like a Labrador?

I have both and my Beagle is mellow and lazy while my Labs are a bit energetic but not too bad. My Collie on the other hand is extremely hyper and energetic. She is like an energizer bunny. In my opinion the Beagle and Lab are different in some ways and similar in other ways. A Beagle is more focused on scent. Both breeds love to eat, to be with their families, to nap a lot. They are both friendly but then it all comes down to the dog and not the breed specifically. My Beagle never howled, never dug to get out and that is what people used to warn me about before we got her. Turns out she was nothing like they said. Go figure. I do feel that Lab and Beagle are a bit similar in some behaviors. :-) Love them both..
